I was so looking forward to this episode, since you kept wanting to know who Dr. Whale was. What's cool about his Storybrooke name is how they came up with it. I'm sure you've noticed how some of the other characters have cursed names that relate to who they are in the Enchanted Forest. For example: Snow White is Mary Margaret Blanchard. Blanchard originates from the world blanco or blanca, which means 'white' in some languages. Jiminy Cricket is Archibald Hopper, which is pretty self explanatory, The Magic Mirror is Sydney Glass, also self explanatory. Cinderella is Ashley Boyd, with ash being a take on the word 'cinder'. Rumplestiltskin is Mr. Gold, because he can spin straw into gold. Now, Dr. Whale takes a bit more looking into to figure it out. There have been many cinematic adaptations to the Frankenstein novel. One of the earliest Frankenstein films was directed by James Whale. Just a bit of interesting trivia I thought you'd like to know. :)
