here's my gripe with emma's train of thought about her parents giving her up... yes they would have been together (though we don't truly know for sure if that would be the case she could have been like jefferson and his daughter seperated from each other) or they could have been like ruby and granny together but hated eachother's guts.. or they could have just plain not known each other and that they were parents and child and the town would be cursed this way forever since she would have been there from the beginning and henry possibly would not have happened in the same way and all of season 1 wouldn't have happened. The point of Regina's curse from the beginning was to seperate everyone from the people they love so the only happy ending would have been hers... so if Emma stayed with David and Snow she would have been cursed and we don't know in what way because her parents loved her from day one so they would have been seperated anyways and the curse would have never been broken!
