People always want to be mad at Adalind but everything she did was reactive. When she was working for The Captain, he used her feelings against her so she would do anything for him. The Hank situation in season one which lead to her losing her powers was initiated by the captain and then both her mother and the captain just left her high and dry. Adalind got back at Nick for taking her powers by attacking Juliette and got back at Sean by working with his half-brother. Now they take her child and make her think the royals have her and that leaves her open to manipulation since a parent will do anything to get their child back by going after Nick again.
