Cops are not supposed to shot anyone in the back. It is a different situation if they are being fired upon as the suspect is running away. Otherwise the suspect running away is not an immediate threat and should not be fired upon but chased.

Not saying it was serious but its weird how many cop shows have them shooting a suspect in the back even if it is a supernatural show or a procedural.
