Mark Wood

Kim Manners' last work before he passed away. He was an exceptional director who did his best work with Dark and Suspense. Was one of two directors who really elevated the X-Files (Rob Bowman was the other can't praise him enough either). Supernatural was extremely lucky to get him as a director/ producer. The show definitely suffers from his loss especially in certain types of episodes (re the scary type of episodes).

I see this episode as truly just like a mini horror film. I think it’s great. Glad it had an impact on you as well. I am surprised it doesn’t get more recognition in the fandom. Lots of people see it as a boring MOTW. And Dean’s extra confessional at the end. Wouldn’t have thought things could have got worse after last episode he described his time in hell. Well, here we are.
