Recipes Poll (Patreon)

We had a poll a while back about the max number of ingredients used for recipes and you all decided on 4. Now that I've got a couple of craftable ingredients, I'd like to get your feedback about how many of those 4 ingredients should be craftable? A craftable ingredient would be something like milk, flour, spices, cheese, sauces, etc. Basically they would require another recipe or more work to get.

I don't want to make it too time consuming to make a recipe using ingredients, but I also really like the idea of cooking and crafting ingredients being immersive. I'm just trying to get an idea if you think this will be an issue, and if so what you all think would be a good combination of ingredient types.

I think it depends on a recipe. Like if it’s a pie where you would make a dough or even a cake I’m good with flour, milk, sugar etc. Or a pasta would require flour but also egg and other harvestables. Or if it has a white sauce cream/milk.

I think as long as you aren’t requiring ingredients, people can choose how many of the extra steps they would like to do! Either all or just none or anything in between
