November news update (Patreon)

Hello everyone,

First of I’d like to welcome those of you who have joined the project over the past few weeks, your support means a lot!

Today I’ve got a big news, so strap in, there’s a lot of stuff to cover.

Restructuring 

About a year ago when I started the project I did so with the idea that I could complete one animation per month, while simultaniously working on improving the general experience by improving characters, creating new ones and introducing interactive animations.

While I would say I’ve been somewhat successful, the truth of the matter is that I spend so much time animating each month that there is barely any time to create new characters or maintain the old ones. As you can see, there is a lot to do for all of the characters… and the lists are only growing longer. 

For the project to move forward, that is, for me to be able to keep bringing you quality animations, but also for me to be able to bring you new characters, sets and effects, we need to change things up. 

Going forward I’ll ask you to pledge towards the overall continuation of the project, rather than to the production of specific animations. Animations will still be made of course, but not on a strict schedule, as I spend more time creating and maintaining characters, learning how to create effects and how to code the interactive elements of the animations.

What this means in terms of content, is that you will get to see more character variety, improved animations, and more variety in animation length.  In practice this means that twice a month I will post a paid update with a rundown of what i’ve done and where we stand with the current animation project. 

I understand that this is quite a departure from what we’e gotten used to, but I think it is the best route forward to keep the project going strong into the future. If you have any concerns or comments, please leave a comment or send me a private message, I will do my best to answer them.

Next animation announcement

Tomorrow I will kick off the next animation project, so keep a lookout for the announcement and subsequent poll.

Tier 3 and tier 4 patron animation access

Starting this month confirmed tier 3 and tier 4 patrons will recieve links to previous animations i’ve done as outlined in the tier rewards.
