Animation clip

Content warning: Long

As of a few days ago I have begun the final checks of the animation. This involves rendering the animation one piece at a time at near-full quality overnight, then adjusting (where needed) the animation based on what comes out of that render. This is necessary because because things look very different between the preview window that i work with every day and the final product. When it comes to finely tuned, close-up animation like you see in the animation clip linked above, there really is no substitute. Comparison here.

After three days I am 85% done with this process, so what is next?

Various things will be happening at the same time, in parallel. Some things I will be doing, some things will be done by others who are either volunteering their time or being commissioned to provide the audio and effects elements.

I expect to be able to send the animation to the audio person by Monday, Depending on their availability and ultimate delivery, the first release of "A Tight Spot" might have sounds otherwise the first release will have to go without. By Wednesday I want to send the animation to the person doing the fluids. In this instance, the animation will not be released until that work has been completed, patreon only pre-releases will of course be made available as the production renders are completed.

As I send the animation out in its preview state to be worked on by the audio and effects artists I will be preparing for the final render process. This will involve tweaking some lights, textures and camera effects with the help of a friend who has a better eye for such things than I do. After which it will be time to hit the big red button.

We have 74 seconds of unique animation, each second is made up of 24 frames which take 4 minute to render a piece. This means that each second will roughly take 90 minutes to render which comes down to a little over two weeks of non stop, ozone layer destroying rendering action. With some help I hope to get it down to 10 days barring any unforeseen problems but... considering my track record that is not an assumption I'm going to make.

As soon as the render is completed, which depends in part on the fluids being finished before I get to the part of the animation where they're needed I will be able to publish the animation in short order.

In conclusion

There are a lot of moving parts to this final effort and ironically enough a lot of it will be spent waiting for the computer to do what it does best. While I won't be able to use the computer to do anything complex I will among other things be working on pre-production of the next animation with will be vore themed. There will of course be a poll. I think we're all looking forward to that one.

I will be keeping you updated on a weekly basis on how this is progressing.
