There's a Reason for Everything. (Patreon)

I know I don't have to explain myself but here it is...

The memorable events mod took me 3-4 months to create. It has over 40 detailed events inside of it. A few months ago I announced that my laptop was broken which contained the memorable events raw file. That meant I would have to remake the memorable events mod. That meant 3-4 months' worth of work was gone. Of course, since I am human I was upset and sad like "THERE'S NO WAY I'M DOING THAT ALL AGAIN" and at the time the mod was still working fine except a few events had issues with selecting sim issues so I gave myself time to be upset/annoyed over it.

After some time I discovered a backup version of the mod on my OneDrive which ONLY included the name of the events, descriptions, and pictures (basically like a basic template) which is like a little less work I would have to do overall. That made me feel a little better about it but obviously still devastated about the whole thing. so I decided I would work towards building it back up in my SPARE time. I understand that some people think that I should just dedicate my time solely to remaking it again so they can play with it ASAP but I have already done that. Unless you've worked hard and spent the majority of your day for many days making something and it gets destroyed you probably would not understand the feeling I had. It is hard to feel inspired or motivated to work on something all over again after working so hard.

This is why the memorable events remake is still not posted because I am again working on it in my spare time and have no motivation to dedicate that much time to it again. This is the same for after school activities. I have been unable to fix it after multiple attempts I have even shared that frustration on Twitter recently so it is looking like it will also have to be remade if I can’t figure it out.

As you can see there are reasons for everything. I want my mods fixed and updated as much as you do because they’re my babies and something I put time and effort into. If a mod isn’t updated for future reference know that THERE IS A REASON why it isn’t. I was also told by other modders to not stress over modding issues or errors to just take a break from that mod and to come back to it later which has made modding more healthy for me mentally. That means that even if Slice of life is getting multiple updates or a new mod gets released...that I'm still working on "memorable events" or "after-school activities" etc...
