Chapter 19


Yukino looked at herself in the mirror as she inspected her uniform. One could notice how much more active her actions were.


Brimming with energy more than ever before, this translated to her more active movements.


Eventually, as everything was done. She sighed and turned around and looked at her hand.


Clenching her hand into a fist she slightly tried to deliver a straight punch which was done…perfectly.


She knew… boxing. As someone who never in her life threw a punch before like this… now she can do it perfectly…


'Apollo's Authority…based on the myth that he was the one who invented boxing. Now I can fight like a pro athlete…' 


She thought to herself how absurd this was!


This was not all! No there was much more than this. Just like the rest of the girls, she doesn't get cold or hot, the temperature for her is always at an optimal level.


Then more useful things. She can dry instantly after taking her shower, her hair included. Where before she used to take a considerable amount of time drying herself now. It's done in an instant.


With this came another perk which is the ability not to get affected by water at all! This means from rain or even by accident like someone spills a drink on her.


'Those were some bad memories there…'


While these were incredibly useful perks… there were more… supernatural things… like she can fly now. Yukino didn't try much but had a test run in her room.


It was exciting, and it unnerved her quite a bit how natural this was to do.


And then it was her new natural strength. She gonna need to be careful with that one.


After finishing with all of her morning rituals she was ready for the day.


Or Yukino thought she would be…


The first thing that happened was a multitude of missed calls, from her mother, father, sister and a bunch of other unknown ones. 


Sure enough, she got another call…


"Yes? Hello?" 


What followed next was a barrage of questions followed by worry and other things from her mother.


Then it was her father's turn…


The whole thing lasted up to ten minutes.


Before she decided to end the call with the excuse that she needs to go.


All of this was quite annoying because it was like a reminder of how badly she messed up. In a sense, this reminded of her how…stupid she can be.


Disregarding dangers of the supernatural? Thinking that she can get away from uncovering mysteries without any sort of plan? 


Almost challenging someone which the whole country is afraid of provoking?


This was stupid and now she was so deep in this mess that she will be moving in to live with someone soon.


Sure enough once again she had a call. But this time… all she saw on her screen was the Goddam flag of Japan…


"...Um Hello?"


[Good Morning Yukino Yukinoshita-san, we call from the Minister of Defence office. We would like to ask you to call us the moment you need assistance regarding Police or JSDF


They will be deployed in case they needed to deal with unique situations or conditions.]


"...Excuse me? Is this…related to Raynor Valeron?"


[Yes. Lord Valeron ordered for swifter response in case of Heretic God descend. People evacuation and things like that. Since he is dealing with the threat directly it is up to his 'court' to manage the rest.] 


Some sweat appeared on her face when she heard that. She has access…to the military?


"I-I understand."


[No worries all you need to do is call us. We are here to make sure collateral damage is to the minimum.]

After that, the call ended and sure enough… she got another call…


This time it was the Minister of internal affairs…


She was told similar stuff again… this time related to things that Raynor wants and it will be delivered as soon as possible.


In other words… her life changed enormously because of one simple thing…


This was nuts…

Finally, after breakfast was done Yukino started walking towards school. Normally she would be driven to school but this time Raynor told her that they will walk there.


So not long after she left her house she was greeted by smiling Raynor who quickly pulled her closer to himself.


This was somewhat annoying with his proximity… at first… but she spend the entire evening in his house. And nothing has happened to her.


The only thing she got was him showing affection to her and having things for her legs.


Eventually, they all started walking towards the school.


"Do you like your new perks?" Raynor asked her while he observed her. He already saw that she has no jacket on her or any other extra clothes.


"They are good. Still getting used to them. Same time, I am already comfortable with them. Which is…concerning." 


"Oh, the natural adaptation. It is related to the nature of what is an Authority."


"What our Lord said is true. Authorities are the ultimate form of Magic. It seamlessly adapts with bodies and one subconsciously knows how to use it." Erica said from the side.


"This why Campione's are so terrifying to face. Because even when a regular human with no experience becomes a Godslayer he will have instincts about how to use all of his powers…just like how Heretical Gods do." 


"I-I see…" 


The more she heard about these beings the more freakish they appear.


However, she had not much of a chance to think about this because Raynor wrapped one of his hands around her waist and pulled her closer to himself.


All Yukino could do is sigh. She can't understand how this guy can be this affectionate with her. 


'Is it his upbringing?' As she thought about it. Japanese are much more reserved than this…'


Then of course she saw Erica getting affectionate with him as well as she took his other hand.


However, this left pouting Ena who looked at this with a frown.

"This is a good time to discuss some things," Erica said to the girl sitting opposite her.


"Each of us has a certain duty around our Lord. Ena became his Hime-Miko just like how wanted. Her job is to find out about Heretic Gods and uncover other knowledge according to his request.


Mine one is to be his knight and deal with problems he should not bother with. However, apart from that, I had to run some of the management-related things."


"I see… this is where I come in," Yukino said as she finally understood.


Erica nodded at her for a second.


"Indeed. You going to be the one who delivers what he wants. You have no idea how people are afraid when he is the one who asks for things. Through a middleman, it will be more bearable."


This time Yukino nodded. She looked at the side and saw Raynor having Ena on his lap and they were doing their own thing. Which includes some kissing and whispering…


"And the limits of this? Doesn't—"


"We don't care about limits Yukino. Regular people simply can't say no to our Lord. Raynor is considered a Benevolent ruler by all things. If this was the Balkan King or Chinese one then the islands would be devout of life a long time ago.


Yukino paled… hard when she heard that.


"They are Demon Kings. Don't forget that. Ever… instead enjoy your life under your King because it could be much, MUCH worse."


"I…understand."


"Good. Now I can focus on things I am good at." As Erica said that the conversation has ended and the blonde went over to where Raynor was and joined… the make-out session.


'These Campiones…they are monsters… human monsters!'


It's a selection of two evils. A normal human would select a much lesser evil. Or… the one which allows him to continue living…' 


After that conversation… surprisingly nothing has happened! A few days passed like that! 


Oh, on another note after the whole cookie-baking thing. Yui has joined the club… but Yukino was far too distracted to care about this.


Apart from the fact that Raynor would get sometimes a little bit touchy with Yukino nothing has happened!


In all of that time! However, the Service Club president… her mind finally caught up with the changes happening around her.


In other words… The Black haired girl realised that she won't be able to continue studying how she wanted, and she won't be able to find the boyfriend she wanted. She won't be able to work in an industry of her choice just like she wanted.


After she processed that the only thing she could do is sigh, in disappointment before jealousy slammed into her. Jealousy that the man to which she is attached has already two women serving him however he wants them.


And this only grew day in and day out. Before Raynor in question notice it.


His solution to that is to kiss Yukino… again for the first time in more than a few weeks. Yes… he didn't kiss but he did touch her multiple times. Especially her incredible legs! he loves them!


So without wasting much time Raynor pulled her against the wall and make her lean on it before claiming her lips.


The difference this time was that he kissed her in the middle of a corridor where other students were around. This causes an eruption of whispers! Everybody knows who is Yukino Yukinoshita and everyone knew who Raynor was!


So this was huge in their eyes! Did the foreigner just snag the Ice Queen!?


While the girl who received the kiss had shell shocked look before slightly narrowing her eyes. She started fighting back! 


If she can't escape him, if she can't get away from him then she will try to defeat him in his own game! Campione or not. King or Godslayer this didn't matter! 


She will make sure to beat him in his own game by becoming the best woman she can be! 


As if sensing the new fire blazing inside of the black-haired girl Raynor deepened his kiss.


And Yukino tried to answer back to that. However, this was only her second time kissing someone and her body started to react to that!


Eventually, he pulled slightly back but he didn't let her go. His hands were around her. Keeping her close he started whispering into her ear.


"I saw how you looked at me back then. Did something happen?"


For a second she tried to fight her embarrassment. Yukino has been seen through…again. This has started to become a ridiculous fault for her!


"... I might have a revelation on my situation. Something I could not let pass…" She said while looking away. Thankfully the way he was she didn't need to look at his face.


"Oh, is that include sending glances of jealousy? You know~ I haven't done anything to you because I thought you needed time~ but appears you finally got it over." As he said that he leaned back and gently kissed her neck.


"...O-Okay! Not here! We are in MIDDLE of school!" As she said that she tried to poke at his ribs to stop this! Doesn't he know how embarrassing this situation is!?


However, Raynor barely felt anything…


Regardless he finally let up and pulled back. Yukino quickly fixed herself up and looked angrily at him. She needs to start keeping in mind that her…Lord can be reckless. Utterly reckless if need be!


"Don't look at me like that. I only fixed the issue you had~" He said the way as if it was her fault… which only make her more snappy.


"...Fine! Let's go to the club room!"


As she said that she quickly started to walk towards there. Ignoring all those whispering people in the process. For a few moments, she even felt to abuse her new immunity and privileges by punching one of these gossipers. However, she relented and instead just walked past them.


"You enjoying that don't you?" Erica said to Raynor as she saw how he embarrassed his new girl.


"Little bit. I do try not to get overboard with her."
