This is one of my favorite episodes in the whole series, it’s emblematic of the heart of Attack on Titan. Just like after Trost we’re not allowed to celebrate a victory. Isayama never lets us forget the human cost of the badass anime violence we revel in. These characters aren’t action heroes, they’re teenagers experiencing unimaginable trauma.

After this season you should watch Levi’s Ova, it’s about him before he joins the scouts.

I've gotta say that you're reading Levi wrong sometimes. He's super empathetic and caring with his fellow soldiers. Think about how we first met him. How hard he held the dying soldier's bloody hand. How earnest he was that the guy had contributed to humanity and how he, Levi, would take his inspiration forward to the future. He tells Erwin off a bit, in the forest, about how the plan required the rear guard to sacrifice themselves and that he couldn't have gotten here without them. Now. Levi gives this soldier a Scout patch and says it belonged to Ivan. He was never near Ivan. Ivan's dead body got dropped from the horse on the way back. Who was Levi near and fiddling around with? Petra. He gave that guy his own memento of Petra. To make him feel better. To at least give the guy something. The same dude who wouldn't follow orders and caused EVERYONE ELSE not to be able to get their friends and loved ones' bodies back. That guy got some grave from Levi. Add on what Petra's dad says to Levi and the possible connotations to that and it's even more poignant. Levi is both badass and empathetic.

Nothing huge but felt like letting u know anyway, when levi and mikasa are escaping with eren, you can see that the female titan is crying . Also, one of the bodies thrown off was Petra's

I did this comment on YT before getting Patreon today but here it is again. First this was just my recommendation but after seeing all your reactions I really think the anime 86 - Eighty Six, is an anime you would enjoy due to the plot, dialogue and characters and it's mostly serious at all times. Hopefully one day you react to it! I follow you since Rocks React and I really enjoy your content, finding out you will be reacting to anime was great since I love this medium due to the variarity of stories it can tell whether they are thrillers, battles or just goofy shit. Since I've followed others reactors my advice is you do you, in this fandom you will never please anyone so pay no mind to people who critics just for the sake of it. If we pay to watch is because we like your reactions so just stick to it. And that's it, looking forward for more!

Levi cares, more than most, that is why he is willing to sacrifice his feelings to help every time in every way he can. We can never know, but I had the feeling he started to have feelings for Petra. Even if it was just a spark. He gave Petra’s wings to the cadet that almost kill everyone. He sacrifices everything for his scouts. Everything. I don’t think that guy deserved it, but it says a lot about his personality. Sometimes people confuse showcasing emotion with having emotions. He is one of the most caring leaders in this universe.
