Wow, even though the council doesn't want a trial, they have no choice because of the edict. Things are not looking good for Jentzen. He will most likely be banished.

I agree. This is usually the problem with utopias: they eventually become tyrannical in order to maintain a peaceful and perfect society.

Treehollow is not exactly a utopia. It's just a normal town with shops, schools, and unfortunately politics.

I feel sorry for the Cow/Gazelle [I have no idea what she is, to be honest] and Tess due to the fact they have to put Jenizen to Trial. This could be a foreshadow for other characters like Kira, Cur, Tamberlane, and Belfry.

I do hope after the trial they can work on changing the edicts. Sacred or not, rules must change with the times.
