Whew, I'm glad I managed to get this page out. Wrist was hurting after the weekend and then my meds are still on a low dosage so my energy has been pretty zapped. But hey! A PAGE!

I realized today that this scene is nearly over and that means I need to start writing the next one. WHOOPS.

Okay Taint is technology makes a twisted but very logical sense. What we've seen in the world is that there are echos of technology (e.g. Timmothy's megaphone, Briar's hoodie, Tagg talking about getting metal from Abroad), but Silver Sage is aggressively pastoral. And Creatures must've rose up those more than 500 years ago to claim areas like Silver Sage away from the ravages of technology. But can Creatures and humans still co-exist in Abroad? Never mind the Japan "sakoku" parallels (though those are also still apt); it would explain why some would still want to go Abroad and yet others would try to flee back to Silver Sage. As a side note, is Japan aka Nawan a similar sort of "sanctuary"? That would explain why we have immigrants (Avery and Nora) from there.
