I was working on the next page and it occurred to me that I know a quick little tip that makes all the difference!

Hey artists, have you ever been drawing a scene, and some characters are closer to the camera than others, and for some reason no matter how you draw it, it looks like someone is really short or small or something?

Here's a rule of thumb that may not always work, but it works well enough:

Make sure their eyes are always on the same horizontal line.

Here, I can add in a third character for a really extreme perspective:

If the characters vary in height, then you can start with them at eye level and adjust as needed. It gives you a great way to start, anyway!
