82 - A world where I only train students who listen to me

RAW

Let's cut out specific class scenes.

First of all, there is the pattern of students who didn't improve in magic having weak magic power of different elements, which has happened before, and in regards to the flow of magic power for each individual, I make them understand they have magic they were good at and bad at.

When I was asked about dungeon activation and stampede during class, I expressed my personal opinion that, unexpectedly, it might be related to human history.
As a matter of fact, there are few wars in this different world.
It's not an absolute [none], but compared to the world I used to live in, it's overwhelmingly few.

Why is that?
Because during a war, or when the situation is about to escalate into a war, a stampede often occurs in that area.
It has happened several times, a dungeon is miraculously created just at the right time, resulting in the war situation being disrupted by a stampede, it shifts into a cold war, and finally ends with them resolving to cooperate to deal with the stampede.

Aah, that’s also what happened to A Empire. The activation of the dungeon occurred right when there was an opening for the government to collapse. As a result, A Empire easily collapsed.
These patterns are eerily common.
When I brought up this topic, many of the students had a face that looked like they had just seen a horror movie, but I also told them, “The ones who take this story seriously are gullible.”

However, one of the students started enthusiastically researching whether dungeon activations and stampedes were related to the history of the area.
That guy is one of the guys I've had my eye on.

In the magic circle department, there were students who were interested in magic circles, not because of the cutting-edge familiar spirit, but because of Phantom Thief R.
How ironic. To think they’re more interested in a chivalrous thief than a familiar that I've put all my heart into perfecting.
Of course, I still generously teach even such students the basics of magic circles and things like technique formulas for efficient magic circulation.

In the pharmacy department, the condition of compounding differs according to each element.
I teach a recipe I created on my own to the students who are growing in pharmaceutics.
With the same reasoning, I have the students of the art department who mix paints and were also trained in the technique of adjusting magic power using magic circles, start using not only paints but also clay and glasswork, and I saw wonderful progress.

In the modern social studies department, there were some students who were able to discuss how to use natural resources in I Confederacy, so I invited them to the salon several times to discuss things with them.
They also talk about trade relations with other countries, and I even opened my delusional theory of a trade route using magic circles.

And then, each student leaves their nest on their own.

Their grades changed at a dizzying pace, all because of my education――that kind pretext doesn’t exist. Those guys are selfish. The guys from this different world always interpret things as they see fit.
Everyone just failed to realize their own potential, but if they do, they can be blessed and shunned by all kinds of people, and become the protagonists of stories that depict various life patterns.

And I will walk away from the stage without seeing the light of day.

It didn't even take a month, let alone half a year, until most of the students’ training came to an end.
It's just that there weren't any students who were that understanding, from then on, I started doing the class indifferently.
All while keeping a close watch on the movements of Phantom Thief R.
For a while, it seems he's been causing troubles away from I Confederacy. On the surface, that is.

From observing his movements, I found he's probably collecting [light magic stones] and [darkness magic stones].
None of which appear on the market as they are rare elements.
Even if he tries to manipulate all the attributes with Nanatrois wand, it's difficult to compensate for those two elements. I can see he is collecting both of them and is making preliminary preparations for his plot.

Finally――my lifespan.

I deepened my relationship with Zekkiro on a personal level.
When it comes to the topic of magic circles, Zekkiro can be talkative. That's why it was surprisingly not bad for me to also get excited talking about the topic related to the magic circle.
In my or Zekkiro's room, where the students didn't even come to ask questions, we would talk about topics related to the magic circle.
On this day, I will bring up the subject in Zekkiro's room during my free time.

“I heard that a necromancer as good as Zekkiro-sensei can tell the lifespan of other people. Is it true?”

“Ah, umー...”

Perhaps because it's a sensitive topic, Zekkiro's state doesn't seem to be good.
While feeling awkward, he nodded and said, “Well, yeah,” but he didn't touch the sweets I brought and averted his gaze.
Is it a circumstance unique to a necromancer... Should I have not touched it yet?
But I was at my limit.

“...I myself have a vague sense of it. That my lifespan is quite terrible.”

“Noooonono, there’s no way!!”

“I haven’t researched the principles or theories of the Status, but… I think that I was able to acquire [Holy] at a young age because I was overusing my magic power and my body. And I believe the aging of my physical body is related to that.”

“...”

“I'd rather you tell me if you can. It would help me make a plan if I don’t have long to live.”

“Th... the only one who thinks like that is Josiah-dono. Everyone else doesn't really want to know about it.”

“That’s surprising. I thought most people would ask out of curiosity.”

“It's human to have dreams and hopes for the future after all. People don't like me just because I'm a necromancer, all the time!”

Ah, how very isekai of them.
I let out a deep sigh and once again asked Zekkiro.

“So――how long is my lifespan?”

“Eh, you want to hear it?”

“Frankly, I can't wait to hear it.”

“...............Umm... this is just a lifespan until senility sets in.”

I was a little surprised by the number I heard being whispered in my ear.

“46? That’s surprisingly long.”

“Surprising!? Did, did you say surprising!? That’s a lie right, Josiah-dono!”

“I assumed it would be shorter, twenty-something... thirty at most, so that’s how it is.”

“Jo, Josiah-dono. Umm, you should not overwork your body or your magic too much. And don't stay up late too much. I heard that your lifespan will increase if you live a healthy life...”

“I'll think about it”

Hearing my reply, Zekkiro turned pale for some reason.
