2023 resolutions + thank you guys! (Patreon)

With the year coming to an end, I felt like writing a little positive(!) statement and elaborating more on the things I want to do the next year. I don't know if this is going to be my last Patreon post of the year but anyways,

2022 has been a great year for me as an artist in the sense that I got a new little thing that is now gotten a little out of hand. Honestly, I haven't felt so artistically driven in years and I'm sure 2023 is gonna be a banger.

What to expect from me in 2023...

I want to continue building more around the events surrounding Lune, Ran'jit and Agnesa in Eulmore based on my alternative "bad ending" of ShB - which by itself, I'd like to flesh out more as well. These characters have become my source of energy and inspiration, which I totally didn't saw coming when I played ShB for the first time one year ago (😱). I feel like they gave Ran'jit too little lore and backstory in the game, which is a shame given his uniqueness and role in the story. I always appreciate it when unpopular or "forgotten" characters are given some love and I want to make a difference by shining some light on the oldman myself. Especially since the writers didn't put enough effort into making him a memorable villain... Hopefully, more folks will remember him and maybe even enjoy him. I didn't expect to become attached to my WOL either, but I've grown very fond of Lune and she means a lot to me (as corny as that sounds). I'm happy bringing Agnesa back again too. It feels great to do something fresh with her, especially since she is my oldest "active" OC who I've been developing for years now.

I'm in no way saying I put a halt to Gorgo Dungeon Inc. it's just that I lack the inspiration and I'm too fixated on something else. At the same time, I cannot predict what I'll be into in the future. My creative process works in mysterious ways even for me.

Another thing I want to address is how I want to do commissions. I'm going to be more selective with them going forward. This is simply because I want to spend more time drawing my favorite characters. I haven't been feeling motivated to draw things outside of my narrow interests as of late. Besides, I work a job and have other responsibilities IRL so my time is precious. I am still happy doing commissions of my OCs and favorite characters, as well as general FFXIV stuffs. Anything else (within limits) is not automatically a no but depends on my mood and the subject in question. I promise it's not about you but about me and my mental wellbeing.

p.s. here's a little Lune and Agnesa lineup to show their height difference. Lune is petite for an elezen and Agnesa is.... just a short hyur. Will update this later with the badman.
