Hello Patrons! It has been a busy and productive week here at Gaming Historian HQ.  Let's dive in.

New Hard Drive

I started filming some b-roll for Part 1 on Monday. As I was transferring video files, I got a warning on my computer: You are running out of hard drive space! Time to upgrade.

I keep all of my video files on a 2TB hard drive. That has lasted me about 5 years. This time around, I got an 8TB hard drive. I'm hoping that will get me through the next 5 years. The new hard drive got delivered the next day. After I cloned my old drive to the new one, I was good to go. I'll probably format the 2TB drive and turn it into more space to keep archival stuff (magazine scans, photos, etc.)

Super Mario Kart Production Begins!

On Monday night, I sat down and recorded the narration for Part 1 of the Super Mario Kart video. I record at night because it is quiet inside and outside. I also moved my recording setup into my office. I installed a curtain rod and this giant sheet, which turns my desk nook into a little recording space. It works incredibly well and it is very convenient!

I also started editing Part 1. As of Friday, I'm about halfway done with this section. Below are a few shots from my filming sessions.

Sonic Part 3 Commentary

A new commentary is now available for the $7+ tier of Patrons. This month, I watched Part 3 of the Sonic the Hedgehog series. This episode covers all of the random Sonic games that Sega released on the Genesis and Saturn, such as Sonic Spinball, Mean Bean Machine, and Sonic 3D Blast. It also covers Sonic CD, Sonic Xtreme, and Sonic Jam. I forgot how much information I was able to find on Sonic Spinball. I re-learned some things while making this commentary!

That wraps up this week. Have a great weekend!
