Reviews of a few horror books I've read.

In a previous video I was asked for recommendations for horror books. I thought it may be nice to give the subject it's own audio. It was nice putting this together, I hope you enjoy. Let me know what you think!

This is so cool, thanks for this insightful and fascinating commentary. Wow, Prey - I tore through that in two days in a cottage at the bottom of a mountain in Wales - that book had me absolutely hooked! Michael Crichton is definitely some kind of visionary when it comes to concept. I don’t know if you’ve read any Neal Stephenson. His books are quite the commitment as they all come in around 700 pages, but they reward in equal measure. His book Reamde is one of the best novels I’ve ever read, and follows the massive, global consequences that its characters are thrown into just because of a simple malware infection that absolutely snowballs. Neal Stephenson books could also be a good route into sci-fi because they often take the form of near- or far-future techno thrillers, like Seven Eves published a few years ago, or his latest, climate-themed novel Termination Shock. I would also recommend A Brief History of the Dead by Kevin Brockmeier - this is a unique novel based on the African folklore that there are three realms - the realm of living, the realm of those that are dead but remembered by living people, and the realm of those truly dead of whom all memory is passed.

That sounds like such an amazing backdrop to read in! I read through it very quickly too, it was so hard to put down! These are good recommendations! Thank you! I will look more into each of them!
