So! Let me preface this by saying that I'm out of town for the New Year - I'm literally several many states away from my computer at home, with all of my pertinent data on it!

Why is that important you ask?

Because I didn't know the HUD Maker couldn't just be copied over! So I had to TURN IT OFF after all of the hard work that I've done on it! AND transferring it all over to my laptop so that I could make this post and do my double-checking really messed up some stuff - but I really really hate to miss a deadline. Since I knew I wouldn't have time to clean up all three chapters while I'm on my vacation, I went with the next best thing.

So, as a compromise with myself, I'm uploading the first 2 chapters of Coven of Calahree's 0.8 edition. 

BE AWARE THAT THIS A TOTALLY DIFFERENT SAVING SYSTEM. Do NOT transfer your saves over from the previous versions of the game, or they'll break it. There are some things that I'm aware of as far as bugs go, but feel free to be a little rough on this version.

I say a "little" rough though because I'll be uploading the revised chapter with the new HUD and Chapter 3 before the first week of January is out - any bugs that y'all find will be addressed in that version - followed by another update later in the month, restoring much of the story with streamlined triggers, actions, and story.

I spent a lot of time crossing my T's and dotting my i's making sure that doors lead to the correct versions of the maps. If you find any that don't work right, be sure to let me know!

AGAIN, YOU CAN ONLY GO AS FAR AS CHAPTER 2 IN THIS UPDATE - CHAPTER 3 WILL COME IN ONE WEEK, AND ANOTHER WILL COME BEFORE JANUARY IS OVER WITH MORE CHAPTERS.

Sorry for the allcaps and italics, but you can never be too thorough with this kind of thing!

I hope that all of you have a very happy New Year, and I absolutely can't wait to bring this project to its conclusion - it's inching closer and closer now, and it wouldn't have gotten nearly this far without all of your support.

I know that this version will feel like a big step backwards, going all the way back to Chapter 2, but I've put in more to do, with more characters, and less janky animations. Easier to navigate maps, more streamlined and similar interactions with items/party members...

Just trust me when I say that the "other half" of this update really helps to put everything that I've done in perspective.
