Normally I'd just post something like this to the "Sneak Peeks" post and update it, but this is something that kind of deserves its own post.

This has been one of the most requested features (besides fixing Chapter 5 - I'm working on it, I swear!) that I add to the game. This will display characters' health, MP, name, and current level depending on who's in the party, and also list/track certain objectives that crop up over the course of the chapters.

The HP/MP bars are something of a work in progress. I'm on the hunt for something that looks a little closer to what I want, but for now, they're serviceable - and it'll just be a quick edit to change them when/if I find something I like more, so don't worry about this taking up too much of my time away from rescripting and rewriting.

As for the Task Manager, this will crop up in Chapters where you have to do a set number of tasks in order to proceed with the story. To use Chapter 2 as an example (because that's the one that I've snipped there) how it'll work is:

Griselda tasks you with doing stuff around town, it'll show 0/4.

When you take on deliveries for the Tavern, "Deliveries" will appear underneath and fill up as you make them.

When you help Bunny Bombshell, her task will appear under the queue, and so on.

The display will fill up with tasks that you've done and count down the number until you go turn in your tasks to Griselda, at which point they'll disappear.

This goes a long way to making the game feel more "real" and using screen real estate more effectively - as well as helping players keep track of what's going on during the more plot-heavy parts of the game.

As of the time of writing, I'm about halfway through streamlining Chapter 2 and redesigning maps throughout the game (for updates on that, check the aforementioned Sneak Peeks post!). I'm not sure if I'll be able to put everything in the game that I want to by December (things that constitute "polish" like crediting plug-in writers and artists, a creator's title screen, minimalizing bugs, and finalized graphical updates) so development MAY go into January, depending on how much time the holiday season gives me to work on this. Regardless, y'all will still get a release near the end of this month of whatever chapters are finished, as well as a copy of the finished product whenever it comes out.

I want to say thank you all again for your patience and dedication in helping me make this game the best that it can be!
