Rayman Comic - This Is What I Need (Full Comic) (Patreon)

I'm very happy to see that Sora is the latest DLC for Smash Bros. Ultimate, it's the ending we needed, and the best in my opinion. It's true that Rayman or some other character that I wanted did not enter, but that does not discourage me at all.  Rather, thanks to this, I was able to make this comic, which touches on a theme seen in Rayman Hope.

In Rayman Hope, I decided to work with the metaphor of death through oblivion (true death is when nobody remembers or cares about you anymore, it is a concept that Pixar works a lot in fact). When Rayman arrived at that place, he was afraid of dying, because he knew that he was forgotten by his main house (Ubisoft). What keeps him alive is the fandom that doesn't forget him and still wants him, giving him the energy to wait.

Here, Rayman accepts that his fate is inevitable (for now), which Kirby hurts and feels responsible for, but Rayman treasures every moment of support he had, companionship, and affection that Kirby gave him, and understands that this is what he needed to understand better the others and grow up.

Everything is a metaphor about accepting the inevitable (illness, death, etc...)... It's a fear that many may have, and perhaps it's not the end we want, but for the long road we traveled, it is the end we needed. "This is what I need".
