Demon Mages Timeline #2: Issues 1 & 2 (Patreon)

The closest incarnation of "The Demon Mages" as a real, tangible thing was the two-issue miniseries, published by Angry Viking Press in 2008 and 2010 respectively.  

Issue 1 was the first meeting between Ziggy & Ari.  A chaotic mess of clandestine plotting between Ziggy and her partner Roman, vs. the crafty Rauschen and his two goons Beck & Surt.  Ruining the stage premier of the new starlet Ari was not how Ziggy was going to collect her very large bounty!

Issue 2 was the first appearance of Tara, Gabby & Claude, as Ziggy beats a hasty retreat from Ari's ruined stage show.  While Roman warded off Rauschen and company, Ziggy makes for a hideout -- which was the same place Tara & her BFF's sneak out to every night and pick their late-night antics.  A storehouse fire is not one of them!

Even today, there's still some page layouts and lines that I enjoy and even cherish.  But as you can see, these issues don't cover enough ground, and there's still a host of others (Tess!?) who've yet to appear!  They're barely more than strangers, so far.  Much more leads to them coming together, or defeating their first foe.  The question remains...
