Alan had always seen Jojo as his older brother despite sharing no blood with him. Taken in as a young orphan by Cora after Paolo's disappearance, he grew up alongside Jojo and Clara.

Of course he spent more time with Jojo since they had a lot in common and held the same interests. Alan was always getting into mischief and Jojo would always bail him out. Whenever Alan needed a helping hand, Jojo was there for him.

Overtime as Jojo grew more effeminate, Alan began feeling certain ways about his best friend and brother. He just had to have a piece of Jojo as Jolene.
