Dear patrons,

I wanted to give you a big thanks!!

I didn't actually wait to reach the 2000$ milestone to test new things with my 3D men.

And as you saw in my last post, I've started 3D printing a model.

And it's all because of you. Creating the protoypes and trying several (online) printers demands some money.

So thanks for your help in that project.

The image I posted here is a 3D simulation of what the last model (the one in ceramic, in production) should look like in comparison with the two other prototypes I did. I think I will lose more details than what I simulated here but I have to see how far I can go in details with ceramic... The figurines would be cheaper in that material.

I've opened an online shop on i.materialise:

https://i.materialise.com/shop/designer/albron

Not that I want you to buy some, but just to let you know that I've been able to do this with your financial help.

If you have any idea or suggestion about what type of work you'd like me to do, don't hesitate to contact me about it.

You're more than 200 patrons now... That's so great !!

So Thank you one more time,

More to come real soon with a new image for January!

Cheers,

Alex

Hiya, I checked the price and it's quite high (around 140 $ after currency conversion). Is it correct, I mean the price ?

albron

Yes, the production prices are quite high. That's why I've ordered smaller versions of this model : it will be available at 3.94" tall "(10cm) (65$) and 4.72" tall(12cm) (103$) . That's why I'm doing new tests in ceramic. It should be cheaper and interesting if I don't lose too much details with this material. :-)

They look amazing! I can't wait to see these in hand. I think the primer gray versions will be my favorites as they can be painted! :D Really interested how the ceramic will come out though.

albron

Thanks, Alan!! :-) I really think it will look much less detailled... The ceramic process smooth the surface... I had an email from the printing company and they are pretty curious to see how it will turnout also. :-)

Any chance of the price going lower in the future 'cause I could see myself collecting them.

Congrats on this and reaching $2K / mo!!!!! :)

Unfortunately, I think it's a kind of false joy... I had two new patrons (20 and 50$) but I think they are fakers... Some persons pretend to pledge artists but always declined their pledges at the end of the month... The 50$ new patrons is supporting tons of artist (which is a bit strange...) and the other one already said he was pledging me in october and november but always declined his pledges... But anyway, it's progressing, and it's cool. :-) And thanks for your kind message... and real support :-)

Hello, Well, the first model in my shop will be available soon in smaller size so more affordable... But I don't have the hand on the production prices, unfortunately... and they are still pretty high, I know... If I want to have lower prices, I need to do series... But it won't be 3D printing then, and it's another organization. :-)

Gryph Daley

Well that's sucks :( I'm sure you'll get to / stay @ 2K (if they turn out to be fakes).
