Some of the episodes in earlier seasons were written by the author but he left to do other work mostly his final two books. Sadly he’s stuck with how to end it but hopefully he’ll finish it because the ending of the show is not how it’s supposed to happen and a lot of characters that are pivotal to the story were cut out. Characters like Daenerys has aspects that were cut out as well for some reason but wound up not really working in the story when even the actress herself felt disappointed about
