Updates (April 2023) (Patreon)

Hello everyone!

I’ve been very busy the last weeks, so here are some updates:

In a nutshell:

• New camera
• New studio
• Next themed pack: Mermaids

I invested in a new camera.
I always worked with a beginner’s camera, and I reached the limits of its capability for a while now. Especially in regards of photos in motion and difficult lighting. With this new camera I have a lot more possibilities and I love working with it so much. It’s a completely different world. The photos from the latest figure drawing video are shot with the new camera.

I also started preparing my new studio in the former living room. All the old furniture is gone and now I have to paint the walls (hurray…) before I can put the gym mats on the floor and the wall. I originally just wanted to paint the walls grey, but I think it makes more sense to have the gym mats on there as well. I will buy some smaller paper backdrops for stock photos and portraits in the future if I need a “cleaner” background.

Once that is done, I can start working on the themed pack for this month. It will be a new mermaid pack with focus on creative lighting and portraits with props. I have my costume and props ready; I just need to get the new studio done. I’m very excited to try some new things with this pack.

I did all of this because I’m determined to stay a freelance photographer. That’s why I’m investing in better equipment and I’m planning to do more stock photos, videos, and other projects in the future to make sure that I can make enough money without the need to raise my prices on Patreon and Ko-Fi.

I cannot thank you all enough for your support here. It means so much to me and I hope that I can create more content in the future that helps you with your artistic work. Next month I will make a post to get some feedback on the current and future content here on Patreon. There are some things that I would like to get your opinions on.
