📑 GENERAL DESCRIPTION

  • default in-game lighting mod for The Sims 4;
  • base game compatible;
  • does not affect game performance in any way;
  • completely redesigned outdoor and indoor lighting;
  • brighter and cleaner lighting everywhere at any time of the day and weather;
  • the brightness of the lighting varies depending on the time of day and weather, but it's always "clean";
  • conflicts with mods that affect in-game lighting, you can only install one such mod in your game!

📑 FILE TYPES (install only one version!)

DARK ROOMS and LIGHT ROOMS types that are subdivided into:

  • BRIGHT PALE - bright pale lighting;
  • BRIGHT BASE - bright base lighting;
  • BRIGHT SATURATED - bright saturated lighting;
  • AVERAGE PALE - average pale lighting;
  • AVERAGE BASE - average base lighting;
  • AVERAGE SATURATED - average saturated lighting;
  • DARK PALE - dark pale lighting;
  • DARK BASE - dark base lighting;
  • DARK SATURATED - dark saturated lighting;
  • EXTRA DARK SATURATED - for those to whom the other versions seemed still too bright!

✅ INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION

  • Just put in your mods folder one of the versions;
  • conflicts with mods that affect in-game lighting, you can only install one such mod in your game!

I advise you to install the AVERAGE BASE version first and try others based on your impressions of it.

For example, if the light seemed too bright to you, then you should download the DARK version. Or if the light didn't seem bright enough to you, then you should download the BRIGHT version. And also with saturation gradation: if the BASE version seemed too dim to you, you should download the SATURATED version and vice versa.

📑 MUST-READ

I have always been very upset because the lighting of the game spoils the appearance of my characters, which I create for hours in CAS. With these thoughts in mind I started working on this mod. And now my characters can look the same in the game and in CAS with this mod.

I advise you to use my GENTLE CAS LIGHTING MOD with this mod to make the characters look as much the same as possible in CAS and in the game.

WHO WILL NOT FIT THIS MOD: if you are completely satisfied with the in-game MAXIS lighting, then most likely you will not like mine.

Pictures with a "blonde cat" 🐈 are made without any processing and without ReShade preset, it's just how the character looks in the game with this mod. In the title picture 👼🏼 I added my simple ReShade preset with additional shadows to show how it will work together. If you're interested, I can post it later.

In the future, I'm going to continue working on this mod to improve it.

Finally! I really worked very hard on this mod and at times doubted that I would be able to finalize it. But here we are!
I hope you will find this mod as useful as it was useful to me!

It conflicts with mods that affect in-game lighting, you can only install one such mod in your game. You need to remove such mods. If you have already done this I will advise you to check your mods folder more carefully, because, most likely, there is a duplicate of another lighting mod in it (in all such cases it was so). If you can't find this file, then I can advise you to create two folders "_mods" and "mods" inside your mods folder. And put the file with my lighting mod in the "_mods" folder, and put all the other files or your folders (in general, everything except Resource.cfg) in the "mods" folder. Thus, my lighting will load into the game first and will work, despite the fact that there is another lighting mod in the second folder.
