Chapter 54: Iruka Explodes With Anger (Patreon)

In the office of the Ninja School, Iruka glared at the nine students in front of him, who looked innocent and obedient, but had caused him so much frustration that he was about to burst a blood vessel.

"How many times have you skipped class already?!" Iruka gasped for breath, trying to calm himself down. He couldn't believe that these nine troublemakers had not only skipped class, but also vandalized the Hokage monument by painting it with colors. He felt like he was about to choke on his own anger.

"You guys have some nerve! You not only skipped class, but also turned into a bunch of pranksters!" Iruka scolded them. "Naruto and Kiba are lively and mischievous, which is understandable, but Hinata, you're so well-behaved, why did you join them? And Shikamaru, aren't you the one who loves to sleep? Why are you playing pranks now? Choji, I understand that you like to eat in class, but why did you join them? And Sakura and Ino, you two are the ringleaders, aren't you?!"

"Hey, I didn't do anything! Don't accuse me!" Sakura denied the accusations. "I'm a good girl, how could I lead them to do such things?"

"Don't try to deny it! Naruto and Kiba are the main instigators, Shikamaru and Choji are their helpers, Ino is the messenger, and you're the mastermind behind the scenes. I saw everything!" Iruka was so angry that he had mistaken Naruto and Kiba as the masterminds, but it turned out that Sakura was the real culprit.

"We did it for the good of the village, not for pranks!" Sakura retorted. "Look at those Hokage statues, they're all made of stone and painted in dull colors. It's so ugly! We just wanted to improve their image by adding some colors to the Hokage monument!"

"So you painted the Fourth Hokage's hair yellow and his eyes blue?!" Iruka asked with a black face.

"What's wrong with that?" Sakura replied confidently. "The Fourth Hokage had yellow hair and blue eyes. I just restored his true appearance!"

"What about the Third Hokage? You painted his hair in all sorts of colors, drew two hearts under his eyes, and added red paint under his nose, making him look like he's bleeding! And why did you paint the Second Hokage's hair blue? He had white hair! And the First Hokage's hair is green now?!" Iruka was so angry that he felt like he was having a heart attack. He couldn't face anyone in the village now that his students had vandalized the Hokage monument.

"Let me explain!" Sakura said calmly. "The Third Hokage was a master of five chakra natures, so I painted his hair in different colors to represent his abilities. As for his eyes and nose, he liked to use a crystal ball to peek at women in the bathhouse, so I thought it was appropriate to add those details..."

"As for the Second Hokage, I painted his hair blue like the ocean, which represents his water release jutsu. And as for the First Hokage..."

"The First Hokage was a master of Wood Release ninjutsu, which made him unbeatable in battle. He was like the force of nature, and trees are green, so I painted his hair green to represent his power!" Sakura explained confidently.

"You..."

Iruka held his chest in pain. His heart hurt so much. Why did the Third Hokage assign these troublemakers to him? Can he return them?

"Iruka-sensei, don't be angry. Think about it positively. When guests come to Konoha in the future, do they want to see the ugly, dull, yellow statues or the colorful ones? Maybe we can even charge admission to see the Hokage monument in the future!" Sakura said with a smile.

"You all, get out of here now! Go back to the classroom and attend your classes. After school, bring buckets, mops, and rags and clean up the Hokage monument yourselves!"

Iruka slumped on the desk, feeling hopeless. Why did fate have to give him these students? Why did he agree to take care of them for the Third Hokage? He felt like he would die of a heart attack soon if this continued.

Sakura and the others left the office quietly, closing the door behind them. They ran away immediately. It was history class now, and Yamada-sensei had just cried from anger. They didn't want to see the old man sobbing while teaching. Especially with his Mediterranean hairstyle, it was just too much to bear.

In the Third Hokage's office, he looked at his colorful hair on the Hokage monument with a sad expression. Why was he the one who was painted the worst? Look at the Fourth Hokage, his hair and eyes were perfectly restored. But he had colorful hair like the Renaissance, pink heart-shaped eyes, and two lines of blood under his nose. He looked like a delinquent.

Why treat them differently? He sighed in his heart, feeling that this was a world where looks mattered. But he didn't show any anger on his face. The Hokage monument was just a statue. As long as Naruto was happy, he had fulfilled Minato's request.
