No but the way wkx was so happy when zzs said he was a good guy - and fun fact, you’re watching a less cut version than what’s on the youku app (which is where I watched it), and the name calling scene is one instance where they tried to make it look less gay - they said each other’s names once and they cut out some of the looks

I was so excited for you to react to this episode since the start !! And I am so gladd that you loved the name calling scene just as much as I did !! No shame in rewatching scenes, after all I still go back to that scene over and over, its just soo iconic !! Also, I think you pretty much got the meaning behind the convo at the beginning of the ep but I still wanted to comment on it lol. So basically, since the end of the last ep, when ZZS accepts CL as his disciple, he mentions that if CL trusts him enough to want him as his master, then he should reciprocate by being honest about his past. He proceeds to talk about his experiences as the leader of the Window of Heaven sect. I feel that while ZZS appears to be explaining this to CL, it's actually intended more for WKX to hear. Since the beginning of their relationship, ZZS kept asking WKX who he truly is and asking him to come clean about his background. So at the end of ep 11 and now at the beginning of ep 12, he decides to take that first step towards WKX and tell him about himself and declare that he considers WKX to be his person and trusts WKX. So yeah, in the beginning of this ep, although ZZS starts by explaining why he decided to take in CL as a disciple, it's more of him telling WKX that he understands it's not easy to trust people, especially for people like them with complicated backgrounds and experiences, So he understands why WKX might be hesitant and hasn't yet told him about his true identity. So instead, he will take the risk and take the first step towards WKX himself because he truly believes they are soulmates. Ahh, I love them so muchhh and you can see how relaxed and genuine ZZS is in this ep compared to his distant attitude towards WKX in the beginning. He has fully opened up to WKX and hopes for their relationship to grow and develop. It's so nice to witness his gradual journey of showing more vulnerability and breaking down his walls in front of WKX. Now, we just need WKX to do the same~

Re. the ghost thing - I remember being confused about that too, but from what I understand they're not literal ghosts, it's more in the sense of 'you're dead to me/the rest of society', so they're the despised, the outcasts, and they've been banished to that underground lair. At least I think??? As for WKX not being overly fussed about ZZS' impending death - he knows he's sick, but I don't think he actually believes ZZS when he speaks flippantly bout it being terminal. When ZZS says that, WKX gives him a look, like 'what's that now?' and it's sort of puzzled with the beginnings of alarm, but also vaguely amused, so I think HE thinks ZZS is just winding CWN up a bit. I don't know if it's still available, but once upon a time, floating around on the internet somewhere, there was the original original cut of the name-calling scene, pre-dubbing, so with the actors' own voices, and I remember it somehow being even more intimate and charged. No-one does it like them!
