"For Now" Music Video / Tour BTS (Patreon)

Writing to you from an off day in Oregon! So far we're 6 shows deep into the tour and I am finally getting back into my tour rhythm. The crowds have been some of the warmest and most loving feeling yet. Every night has felt like a completely unique but equally special experience. And one of the best parts has been looking out from stage and seeing my KG Records family scattered throughout the crowd wearing our little KG Fox pins!! I've had the pleasure of meeting so many of you, and have been so moved to see that we've had some new members join us along the way as well. (Warmest of welcomes to any newcomers!!)

I’ve been closing out my set this tour with my song “For Now”, and it has felt especially fitting. One thing I really felt while writing this song is how amazing and beautiful and unlikely it is that all of us—and yes, i’m talking about you on the other side of this screen from me—happen to exist at this same moment in time. Human history is a long long line, and we have all randomly popped into existence during this same tiny moment. I feel so grateful not only to get to exist—to get to feel and learn and experience life—but to get to exist with ALL OF YOU and everyone else who happens to be hanging out on our planet right now. I am so grateful our paths have intersected. I am grateful for the impact you have all made in my life, and hopeful that I might make the tiniest of ripples in yours as well. It’s good to be here together :) Thanks for figuring out this life thing with me. ❤️🙏🏻

Some little tidbits about the video:

- Jesse captured this footage for me (thanks Jesse!) at the San Diego and San Francisco shows :)

- at 0:48 seconds--meet my aunt! This was pre-show at the first stop of tour. I was feeling really nervous and anxious, both about playing the show and being about to start tour. It didn't hit me until during the show that night, but I think there has been a lot of emotion around this tour for me since it's the first one since Jakarta. Lots of feelings to unpack here.

- at 0:54--I found a little gift bag in my green room the first night. Turns out my tour manager Sam and our merch girl Lauren got me a beginning of tour gift! They wrote the sweetest card ever and got me two stones for protection and grounding and it was the most unexpected and wonderful way to kick things off. <3 <3

- 1:31--these are my sisters! They joined me for a song at the SF show and it was (as always) such a highlight. Also so helpful to have multiple sisters around for post-show breakdowns when I'm feeling extra emotional and just need to cry and hug for a while.

Ok, I'm going to go take a little break from the bus and get some fresh air while I can. Thank you all for making this tour possible and being so incredibly great :)
