I game with a friend who isn’t computer savvy at all. He loves to game, but is cheap with consoles and PC because he doesn’t get a lot of it. Xbox could be PC gateway. Basically make it cheapest PC ever, keep the UI the way it is, but have more upgrade paths like PC. Perfect for people who don’t want or know how to tinker, but may get into it. I mean I had drivers for my video card brick my new windows install. I figured it out easy, my buddy would have been lost.

Hi tom, is there any point in upgrading to a 7950x3d over an upgrade to a 7800x3d in terms of longevity. I’m well aware the 7950x3d has had issues with the allocation of non 3d vcach cores to games and what not, but i seem to have figured that one out, by simply downclocking the non vcach cores to below the vcach. The question is however whether the extra 8 cores is going to have an impact in the long run. We’ve already seen games use more than 8 cores. And i’m wondering whether you might have some insider knowledge as to whether games will start to utilize more cores for f.eks crowd density and other things. I currently have an rtx 3090 and plan to buy a 5090 when that thing launches “hopefully this year”.
