In around an hour Tom and Dan will be recording a Die Shrink discussing the Insomniac Hack...and we apologize for how short notice this is.  However, we actually already have some Reader Mails for it that we set aside, and the original plan wasn't to put out any telegrams...so anyways - don't hesitate, write in below immediately with your thoughts, comments, and musings on this event that we felt didn't have enough "hardware" connections to fit into a normal Broken Silicon after already kinda missing covering it over Christmas.

For those who don't know, the these are some of the notable tidbits from the leak:

  • Marvel’s Venom (2025)
  • New Ratchet and Clank
  • Marvel’s Wolverine (2026)
  • Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 (2028)
  • Marvel’s X-Men (2030) (And more after that)
  • Spiderman 3 considered to be split into "Part 1" & "Part 2" Games due to a $555M budget.
  • Generally speaking the latest Sony games seem to be easily making profits...but from a %-wise perspective there is an argument that AAA games are not efficient investments.
  • Tons of Employees seem to have had their personal information doxed

Not related to the Hack, but can you remember where you discussed game titles dynamically swapping out textures in the background without telling users to keep under the 8GB cap on Nvidia cards?

Do you guys think that a good 10-15hr AAA game could sell in the current market? How much would this save a game on budget? Or do you think the playtime of AAA games has been expanded because the budgets are out of control?

Hardware Unboxed had interesting proof of it in their 6800 16GB vs 3070 and A4000 testing videos I think.
