I didn't have many issues being an early adopter of AM4. I have an old MSI B350M Mortar that continued to get bios updates and have since upgraded to a 5700x (from a 1600) with no issue. Sure, I miss out on pcie 4.0 and faster ram, but what does a few % in performance matter with this value?
