In about 3-4 hours Tom will be doing the Loose Ends for November! He actually has a lot to leak about upcoming Ryzen SKUs, the 4070 Ti, and more! So ask about any of that / give your thoughts on those subjects, or of course ask anything else you are curious about!

With the re release of the """4080""'" being hinted at recently, could you please reiterate the BoM costs and expected price for this card?

Jen-Hsun Huang

The 4080 sold more units at launch day than any other $1199 value-flagship we have ever launched.

I had a question if you've heard anything from sources on Nvidia's oversupply issues. I checked stock at my local microcenter and they didn't have any ampere stock above 3060ti. Did black Friday clear a lot of stock or is something else happening?

Chris Rijk

Before it was unlaunched the "4080 12GB" had a price tag of $900. If Nvidia prices the replacement at $900 still then I guess they don't care about the poor sales of the "4080 16GB". But if they price it significantly lower than $900 then would you agree that we should also expect them to do something to boost 4080 sales? PS Have you received any new info on 4090 volume?

Chris Rijk

What are your current thoughts on the 7900 XTX pricing? If it performs about where you expect in benchmarks would you expect it to sell out easily? Given that the 4080 has flopped in sales, would you expect AIBs to be a bit more restrained on trying to inflate 7900 XTX prices?

Chris Rijk

Have you received any info on how well the 7900 XTX overclocks? I'm reasonably hopeful given that there's a clear performance gap between it and the 7900 XT (if the 7900 XTX had been overclocked well past its peak then the 7900 XT would probably be closer in performance).

What is your outlook on AM5 DDR5 support? Still lots of problems with 2 DIMMs per channel, 128GB, high frequency, long POST, ... Will BIOS updates "fix" this? Will memory makers? EXPO required? Feels like Zen1 & X370 all over again

I guess my question was a bit off-topic with the BS guest, so I'll just put it in here: With the latest GPU sales numbers out, it seems AMD has regressed in market share, with the figures showing they have about 8% with Intel at 4% and Nvidia at 88%. How is Intel, a brand-new player in the dedicated GPU space, already at half the market share of AMD? What does this say about Nvidia loyalty? Seems a bit surprising, considering RDNA 2 was so competitive with the 3000 series in rasterization while beating them in price to performance, as it also seems RNDA 3 will do. I find this really disappointing, considering the blatant price gouging Nvidia continues to get away with. Is this more of a statement on AMD, and its customers, or Nvidia and its customers?

hey Tom, do you see 11th gen as a viable upgrade from 10th gen i3? or should I save and go for am4/lga 1700. Just gaming at 1080p with an rx6600

7900xtx and 7900xt naming scheme? Why not call them 7800xt and 7700xt generating suspense and intrigue over a future true 4090 competitor, whilst concurrently manoeuvring a 'upper mid range beast' sentiment surrounding the launch. Although enthusiasts understand product tiers, too much emphasis is put on the monikers which makes amd look bad
