Are you ready to kill CHAOS?

Hey tom, love what you do BS 104 was an amazing listen. Im curious to what E3 as a conference can do to improve or keep up vs a company simply buying twitch streamers to play it and possibly getting equal or more eyes on the product vs E3 presentation? What are your thoughts?

I was really surprised about the razer announcement, what about you guys? What do you think about this laptop? I'm hoping they'll release a 15 inch version with ryzen.

You guys must be pumped for Battlefield 2042. What did you think of the trailer and gameplay footage?

Hey Tom and Dan, long time Metroid Fan, played pretty much every Metroid game, well the ones that matter anyways. I can't believe Nintendo is finally making Metroid 5 (Metroid Dread) this game was rumored and even mentioned in one of the Lore catalogs in Metroid Prime 3 all the way back in 2007. The only bad things is that I finally have to buy a Switch. Hahaha

At Razer's E3 showcase they announced their new Blade 14 powered by an AMD R9 5900HX. While Razer announcing an AMD powered laptop was not very surprising given months of rumors suggesting as much, what was surprising is the fact that it's also available with up to an Nivdia 3080 mobile graphics card. What are your thoughts on the fact that the highest tier of mobile CPU and GPU are now available in a 14 inch form factor and do you think Razer's "next gen vapor chamber" is up to the task of cooling such powerful hardware in such a small form factor?

What is your reaction to the Battlefield 2042 trailers?

Gotta be honest... Bf2042 will finally keep me from playing "hide the salami" with my step sister!

The most disappointing thing I saw in the PC game show was everyone voting for the House Kurita themed custom PC, when House Kurita is objectively the worst faction in the BattleTech/MechWarrior lore that isn't the Smoked Jaguars or the Word of Blake (all 3 commit massive war crimes on a regular basis). I 100% think they only won because they were red. The most impressive thing I saw in the PC game show was Harold Halibut, and that game's graphics and design process are literally 90 degrees off from what everyone else is doing.

What really stood out to me this E3 was Microsoft really doubling down on their commitment to game pass. Nearly every game they showed off in their game showcase was followed by “Day one on game pass”. I have no idea if game pass will be successful for Microsoft in the long run, but it’s exciting nonetheless to see them putting some real effort into this strategy. I think this console generation is going to be defined more by the services and value adds that Microsoft and Sony provide than by the consoles themselves. I’ve been a patron for nearly a year now, and I have no regrets. I love the content you guys put out, and I’d like to thank you, Dan, and Gerard for all that you do!

I'm very hyped for Elden ring, I'm hoping to enjoy this so much. George RR Martin wrote the plot, so who knows what twists will happen. Gameplay looks good and George finally finished something!! I've hollowed myself from waiting for winds of winter

I find the XBox Game Pass for PC windows app very annoying, but at some point there may be a compelling value there. Do you foresee a future where many PC gamers would move away from buying games on Steam?

Thought Nintendo and Microsoft had solid presentations. It really isn't the same without Sony. That said, I'm excited for Forza Horizon 5, Metroid Dread, Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, and some indie games like Sable and Tunic. Seems like GamesPass is just going to be a juggernaut going forward and frankly I'm ok with it. That said, nothing I saw made me want to buy a new console, unless Nintendo does a Special Metroid Edition Switch Pro. Still hoping that gets revealed sooner or later.

I'm excited for Gloomwood since Square Enix is having Eidos Montreal make Marvel games instead of finishing Deus Ex. Also interested in Grime, Stalker 2, and Shin Megami Tensi 5.

I want to know pc specs for Battlefield 2042. I cant upgrade due to the current chip shortage, and I cant travel to the USA because of travel restriction to bring in the parts myself. I hope my 1080ti is good enough to give me time to upgrade.

Anonymous

Well, as someone who lives in the US, it probably wouldn't make too much of a difference if you were here. I've been trying to buy a GPU since this thing started. I've got a 1080Ti, too. It'll have to do I guess.

The show was meh to me except for Nintendo and Microsoft. Both came out with the red/green carpet, xbox taking the cake imo. Nintendo having 2021 drops was awesome but most the games i didn't really care much about. And considering the botw2 2022 release (def getting delayed some more), I'm not hyped....Except for Metroid dread, cause a solid new 2d adv got me salivating. Now xbox said "Buy gamepass...and maybe an xbox if u fancy." Between the love from bethesda and all sorts of indies starting to pop in, gamepass is netflix when netflix was still on the come up. Imo, stalker 2 was my highlight. It had in-game action and the character monologuing looked like he was actually yelling, most games don't stretch the face enough to match the intense expression. Top tier mocap/voice acting. Do you think Nintendo had a better show than Microsoft? And do you think metro, targeting at least series S, will be a great showcase for next gen games? ie, targeting ssd, rt implementation quality matching metro enhanced, world detail/clutter high enough to justify next gen designation, the zone being seamless instead of sections, ai either being more dense and/or smarter?

Hi Tom & Dan, So now we 100% know Starfield and The Outerworlds 2 will be exclusive, but I read that Todd Howard was rather vague about the possibility of TES6 being on PS5. Do you think that’s something Microsoft would even allow? Or could it be something like PS5 gets the game a year late? If it’s PC/Xbox only I think I’ll be getting an Ultrawide…..speaking of - when’s LG updating their 38” model? Lol. Other than that I’m hopeful Battlefield 2042 will be good. (I think I’m kind of done with Call of Duty)

Source for the Todd Howard / TES6 thing. https://comicbook.com/gaming/amp/news/the-elder-scrolls-6-bethesda-ps5-playstation-5-release/ The latest cryptic comment comes the way of Bethesda Game Studios director, Todd Howard, who was recently asked whether or not he will regret not releasing games on PlayStation anymore. To this end, Howard had a very interesting reply "Well, we’re still…I will just say I want everybody to have the ability to play it in some fashion," said Howard to The Telegraph.

Can you justify my option that Nintendo’s presentation SUCKED because no Fire Emblem?
