The XBOX Series X & PlayStation 5 are out...and I cannot think of a better guest to have on for a Post-launch discussion than NXGamer!

NXG's Channel:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC7Jo0VTzeyYbZ8cVk3k-EhA

Previous time he was on: https://youtu.be/Hpd7nCzeFRs

We will be heavily discussing the overall status of both the XBOX & PS5 systems:

-What are they like now? Are we impressed? What needs to be fixed or added?

-What are their future prospects?

-How has the hardware turned out compared to what we expected 5 months ago?

Put your thoughts, concerns, and questions below!  If they are well written and thoughtful we just might get to them! We will be recording a new episode on Sunday, so you should have ~36 hours to respond.

Hi, I was thinking about the SSD speeds of the PS5, a game that clearly shows the speed is Spiderman MM, but others show improvements but not quite as dramatic. In how long do you think developers will make games that don’t have load screens at all? Will XSX SSD be able to keep up if instant loading becomes a reality eventually?

Leapfrogging off your question: How long before we start seeing PS5 SSD speeds on consumer grade hardware for PCs? 9GB/s (well, 5.5 GB/s raw, 9GB/s compressed) is only a bit faster than the theoretical max on a PCIE4.0 SSD, I believe, so does that that PCIE5.0, coming out next year, will see drives faster than those in the PlayStation? If so, how bad will Xbox’s situation get? Will prices need to be slashed? Will a new version/update need to be released? I don’t see Xbox’s SSD holding up in the long run. (2.4 GB/s? Really? That’s “next gen” for you guys? I mean, even compressed (4.8GB/s), that’s still half the PlayStation’s bandwidth!)

Seeing nearly all secrets revealed from op comming consoles, IMHO at the end under de bottom line it seems that its all about exclusivity of games. Or isn't it?

Hi, what do you think comes after ps5 and xbox series x in 5-7 years on consoles? 4k 60FPS with more raytraycing?

Hey there, I have a 1440 p Monitor and a ps 5 coming. Hence, a little disappointed by the update that the console wont support 1440 p. Will current/future games down- or upscale from 1080 p, 4k respectively and how will it affect performance vs details?

Hello Tom and NXG, do you guys think that either console will implement or be capable of implementing AMD's answer to DLSS? (Depending on AMD's solution of course.)

Given that extra letters are very expensive for products, $50 per letter from what I've heard, do you truly believe that Microsoft and Sony will be able to continue to sell their consoles at such low prices? Playstation 5 should be at least 12*50 = 600 dollars. Xbox Series X and S should be 11*50 = 550 dollars. https://youtu.be/T7x6OvVU90A?t=4

Was the launch of the consoles successful? I know I could not click fast enough on gamestop, target, best buy or walmart on the ps5 launch day. How hard is it going to be to get one of these new consoles in the next few months? Should sony have waited for more inventory before launching?

Hello Tom and NXGamer, Michael, How are you measuring Frame rates and frame times in your videos is there a program like afterburner for the consoles now, or are you using other tech? Unrelated.... Tom, how sure are you that there will be a ZEN3+? I am on a 3800XT that's boosting to 4.85GHZ (GS!) but waiting for the refresh. What are the chances it's still on AM4? Thank you

Hey Tom and NXGamer, I hope you're having a fantastic day. I have a question though for NXGamer, I'm very OCD about getting the most out of my products. That being said I've been trying to download games and run games from an external m.2 xpg ssd 3,200mb read 3,000mb write gen 4 ssd on a usb 3.1 enclosure. Currently either it continues to crash having to reconstruct it or once it runs the games, eventually they corrupt and I have to delete them. I tried the same set up on the ps4 with no issues. Have you had any issue with trying to run games on m.2 ssd or traditional ssd. And in your opinion what would you recommend as a good external drive that will take as much as advantage of the ps5. I also have the segate licensed external 2tb drive and haven't had issues but I don't if this is the best way to utilize my ps5. Thank you for your time gentlemen.

Do you think console modders may find a way to 'jailbreak' the S and X to run full windows? if they do the S is an instant buy for me as it would make a wonderful little emulation box

LinusTechTips saw some pretty drastic quality differences in DOOM when comparing the Series S vs X, however, they were able to maintain 60 fps. Spiderman also has 2 quality modes (locked 30 with ray tracing vs 60fps no ray tracing), do you think console will adapt PC-like graphics settings for ALL games going forward, such as ray traced modes vs non-ray traced modes or do you think developers will try to find a happy medium for both xbox models and only offer higher tiers in some titles? What are your thoughts on potential HD DLC packs for Series X that enable ray tracing or higher quality textures? Do you think this generation of game development will translate into better PC ports as the differences between consoles and PC seem to be more blurred than previous generations? Excluvies such as Horizon Zero Dawn had nearly a 3 year difference from Console Launch to PC Launch, do you think this will shorten, even from smaller studios with less budget? I've seen reviewers and outlets talk about these console as they will have the same amount of shelf time of 5-7 years as previous consoles, do you think we will follow the same cadance or will the likes of PS5 Pro or Series X Pro will appear 2 years from now to extend the life with bumps in performance? Do you think console will reach a singularity point where they will become more like PCs with more interchangeable parts? Upgrade modules in a sense, so some components such as chasis, psu, i/o remain the same but you can drop in a new mobo/cpu/gpu/ram module.
