I am evaluating adding a Patreon-only podcast: "Die Shrink" to the roster.  This would be focused on specific 30-60min conversations between Tom and Dan (and sometimes experts).  Examples include "should channels do 720p benchmarking?", "how silly Ghost Recon Wildlands is", and "Moore's Law's Influence on genetics research".

Is the first option "I listen to everything immediately"? It doesn't quite fit with the others, for me.

While I would like more episodes of this podcast, I take quality over quantity any day. I value your podcast and the youtube channel for the depth and the insights, not for the number of episodes and how frequently you release them. In any case, keep up the good work and thank you for your time and effort.

No, this is a poll about Broken Silicon. The number 1 option is that you would be happy with 2 episodes a week....or more I guess...

MooresLawIsDead

Quality would never go down. I am gathering information for how to grow the channel. The question is this: Do you want more? (more means the same quality!)

Just about to raise the same concern, as I really don't need another "news this week" kind of podcast.

MooresLawIsDead

Read the description - the normal podcast would stay "as is" with the same cadence. "Die Shrink" would be a specific podcast about specific subjects not covered in the generic episodes.

I would definitely 1 up my patreon tier if there is more content. I already feeling I was getting too much for the amount I paid every month.

In that case: Yes, I want more. I also did not want to imply the quality would go down. I just meant this for the eventuality in case you had to choose. Thanks for the clarification.

I really wanted to pick option 3 for the pun, but I resisted.

I've tried a few episodes of BS (hey, you picked the title) but... They're much less focused than your solo posts, so they're much longer for not that much more of interest. That isn't to say that the content is poor! Your ability to pull together facts while talking is very impressive. But the conversational setting spreads it too thin for me. I'd be glad to try Die Shrink.

More content is great as long as there is something to talk about at length. Just don't water down for the sake of putting out more content. With the number of news channels I was listening to, I originally wasn't going to subscribe, but you do good and impactful news and commentary. Keep up the good work.

I think the broken silicon schedule is fine as long as we also get some content on moore's law is dead.
