Broken Silicon's next guest will be Wendell from Level1Techs! Of course recently Wendell has put out a fantastic piece about Raptor Lake's issues, and we will of course discuss that, but we also plan to discuss:

  • Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite

  • The Future of ARM on Windows

  • AMD Zen 5 & Zen 6

  • Intel Lunar Lake, Arrow Lake, and Panther Lake

  • AMD RDNA 4

  • Nvidia Blackwell

  • ...and whatever else you guys want!

Seriously on that last point - Wendell can talk about anything! Just make sure your submissions below are respectful, concise, and use good grammar to have them considered. You have ~36 hours to submit below!

Is AMD/Intel wasting precious silicon by integrating specialized AI circuits? Would it not be better to make the GPU do the heavy lifting here?

Bangforbuck

Intel just released a new lga 1700 lineup without ecores so i have two questions. Is this a admission that the e-cores where largly responsible for the problems with raptorcove cpus or was this something that they had lined up way before and i just missed it. We saw how useless LPE cores where in meteorlake, will this be the fate of every e-core in about 4-6 years? My buddy has a 13600k and do you guys think the e-cores will just be a bother in a few years for the owners of these chips or are they just fine.
