I think we need to stop with the raster argument in AMD's favor. If your leak about PS5 Pro is 100% correct (and things change as products get developed) it would seem AMD is capable of better RT. Better RT even with RDNA 3+ or whatever they call it. If AMD can't get a substantial RT increase with RDNA 4, they are going to be behind Nvidia forever. The point of business is not to constantly be the runner up. AMD has this attitude and I just think they need to do all they can to keep their GPU's improving. Raster is already so damn high on so many GPU's for a lot of games that it really does start to fall on RT performance. I know many don't agree, but I don't really care. I have always been a huge fan of ever better graphics and ray tracing/path tracing is a good bump in how we do shadows and lighting. Gamer's probably don't care about 240-360 Hz for stuff like Alan Wake II, but they do care about how good an image looks. FSR 3 needs a BUNCH of work and so does AMD's FG tech. If they can pull those things together with RDNA 4 and RDNA 5, they will remain a viable competitor to Nvidia for a long time. If they can't....I don't even want to know. "Good" competition is needed in the graphics space.

Will RTX 5090 need PCIe 5.0 or will be 4.0 be enough?

It's always a choice. More RT, more die space. AMD, at least to a certain extent, is calibrating their constraints with competitive goals. When they CHOOSE to go for RT, they can. Although we'll need to see if they can match Nvidia in RT when they do so... we'll see...
