I think that would work really well! Especially with Kai and MC having backgrounds as traditional journalists, given that newspapers (especially small town papers) have trouble staying open these days

Ok literal middle-of-the-night thought: Would this make Kai a boomer?? If he’s 28 then only if it starts post-1992 then he would be past the cutoff, I think. For some reason this seemed important 😂

lol this is one point against setting it in the 90's. Kai would be safe, but Eli and Lir would not.
