When CBS contacted me to be one of 50 artists chosen around the world to create art for the Star Trek 50th anniversary exhibition tour I jumped at the chance. I knew that I wanted to create a piece of the crew but I also wanted to throw some of my Trek girl designs into the mix...

SO ...once again I called upon my motely crew of friends to be the basis of my Trek Girl designs. Stephanie went to work creating the Star Trek dresses for the ladies including her own creation- the Trek Cocktail dress.

I also looked at our family friend Charlotte Carter for inspiration for my Medical Officer. It was her haircut that did it for me...

And my buddy Rachel Barrick became the basis for the 'Crying Red Shirt' design.

BACK IN LAS VEGAS: When creating the dresses the one thing we didn't factor in though was Jordan's size. The girl is so tall, with legs for days! Her dress came up a bit short ( not Starfleet regulation) but we were  lucky she had her leggings with her for the Chris Gomez shoot back at the Westgate hotel.

After the fun and games we took everybody out for a couple of drinks  near the MCM Grand,Vegas.

Chris took some great pics of the girls ( I'll post more later) at the Westgate Hotel.

So all in all the whole Star Trek 50th year went great for me. I also ended up creating a piece for the CNET site which coincided with everything I was creating. The Trek Gods were shining down at me that month.https://www.cnet.com/news/star-trek-beyond-review/

Thanks to the girls Rachel Barrick, Naz Horner, Michele Conard, Stephanie Castro and Jordan Gwynn Colton. You guys always come through for me. Russell Singler and Andreas Sowa over at the POP ART COLLECTIVE for publishing the artwork and Skye Art Gallery for showcasing it all.
