Weekly Update #145 (Patreon)

You know how people like to talk about how exciting and fun it is to go house hunting and buying and all that stuff? Well, something we've realized these past few weeks is that it's only fun for rich people who can afford to buy any house they want without having to think too hard about it. When you're not rich, it's a lot of other sellers putting up better offers, homes not being eligible for FHA loans due to tiny flaws, and not being eligible for high enough mortgages that would be lower monthly payments than what you're currently paying in rent. "You would actually be paying $500 less in monthly mortgage payments than what you've been paying in rent for the last 9 years? Weeeeelllllllll, maybe if you made another $20,000 a year we'd consider it. We just don't think you make enough money to afford mortgage payments that are half the cost of the rent you've been paying for the last 9 years."

If you don't believe in the saying, "It's expensive to be poor," then try buying a house on a low budget.

Anyways, I got more done than usual this week, but not as much as I wanted to get done due to the stress of looking for houses and either losing out against other buyers, being misled by agents about how much banks will be willing to loan us, finding out the homes we want aren't eligible for FHA loans, and so on. At this point we're literally looking all over the country since we just desperately want out of where we are now and we're tired of renting. There are a couple more promising houses we'll be looking into this week, so we'll see how that goes.

That being said! I'm happy with how all the chapters came out this week. Now to move on to all that stuff. But first, my stream schedule for the week:

Thursday: 6pm - 10pm (undecided game)

Saturday: 7am - 11am (Stellaris collab, this could potentially be on Sunday instead but will most likely be on Saturday), 12pm - 3pm (undecided game)

I can't stream Tuesdays for the next month since I've now got to take care of my grandma until about 10pm on those days now, and I still have a lot of extra writing I need to do if I want to get these new stories ready as quickly as possible to try and boost my Patreon numbers, so I'm just going to start streaming earlier on Thursday and stream for twice as long instead. So, only going to be streaming two days a week for now. About 11 hours total. This should also free up some of my time to actually resume posting videos like I've been wanting to since I haven't really been able to squeeze in the time to record and edit with my temporarily increased writing workload.

27 hours, 20,028 words. I forgot to put vtubing hours on there this week, but that would probably be around the same as usual.

The True Endgame

I was really happy with this week's chapter. It felt like a very TTE-y TTE chapter, if that makes any sense. Still have to throw in some good ol' fun and slice of life even though the volumes will be more plot-based from here on out!

Ero Dungeon Online

And now the second volume is finally over. Man, these volumes are long. I don't know if I'll try splitting them up later like I am with TTE or LDQ, though. I might not even be able to sell them on Amazon due to content. If I can, I probably will split them up to be about 4 volumes instead of only 2. Anyways, with the latest reveal, we're on to a lot more fun in the nearby future!

Lazy Dragon Queen

Another fun chapter. More importantly, we're in the final stretch of editing the first volume. It should be done this week! Then all I have to do is get it set up on Amazon. I'll probably make it its own post here on Patreon once the preorder page is up. That very well might be up before the week is over. Here's to hoping!

The Queen's Hound

I wrote two and a half more chapters for it last week, but not the next chapter. I wrote the chapters that came after it. I still need to finish the chapter that actually comes next before I post those chapters, though. I was just really inspired for the chapters after it, so I made use of that inspiration to write those instead. Anyways, there should be more of it this week! I won't work on the later chapters until this next one is done.

Tentacles

Tentacles. That's right. Also, no, that's not the name of the story. Just how I'm referring to it for now. Anyways, this is the tentacle story I teased a whole bunch of times a long time ago that I'm finally now really, really happy with. I've got exactly what I want to do all figured out at this point. I've also already got about 7 chapters written of it, but they need to be connected with more chapters before I can actually post it. Maybe that'll also be out this week. Who knows.
