Weekly Update #89 (Patreon)

Arknights is out now for anybody who was curious about playing that. It's pretty fun. Get it on yo' phones. It has some good waifus and husbandos. There's even a guy named Ace in it who is pretty cool, so you know it's a good game.

That aside, this week has been a pretty good week. Most chapters since the start of the new year have been longer than average. Maybe it was taking a week off that energized me, or maybe I'm just in a phase of wanting to write longer chapters. Either way, yay, longer chapters. Don't get used to them, though. Then again, I doubt the increased length is even really noticeable at all.

I'm wondering what people are thinking in regards to how other characters from EDE who haven't shown up will be adapted into EDO. Everybody keeps on talking about the little spider sister, but what about all the others?

Some wholesomeness and bonding between the girls since, you know, I don't write harems. I write poly. That means the girls have got to like each other as much as they like the MC. That was the main goal of the latest chapter and I think it did a good job of showing that sort of relationship progress.

I have pretty much nothing to say other than that, after this little mini-arc with Window is wrapped up, we'll be speedrunning tower stuff. Probably.

CORE

CORE is becoming more and more like my redheaded stepchild. I get more and more feedback about people dropping it, more and more feedback about people who were loving it no longer really being interested or putting it at the bottom of the tier list when it comes to all my stories, and more and more people changing their previously-positive reviews into negative ones or just new negative reviews in general. I've probably gotten more negative feedback regarding CORE than on any of my other stories, including the late ASV, EDE, etc.

But, I still love it and consider it equal to my other stories, so I ain't dropping it any time soon. Are there things about it that could be fixed? Absolutely, all my stories could be fixed to be better. However, there are no fundamental issues with it unlike with EDE had, and I actually enjoy it and know what I want to do with it unlike my situation with ASV.

So, CORE might be my least liked and most controversial story, and it honestly probably isn't worth it from a business perspective (which is a less important perspective than my own individual perspective) to keep it going rather than starting something new that would actually draw in new patrons since this one never has, but fuck that, ya know? CORE is here to stay.

In Closing

I've come to the conclusion recently that I'm almost definitely pansexual. It's kind of weird. Thinking back, I remembered that I used to call myself pansexual as a teen, but I don't think I really was back then. Now, though - I mean, yeah. I guess I'm actually pansexual. This realization has made me want to write a pansexual "harem." Probably with a girl MC who gets multiple guys and girls in her "harem."
