Weekly Update #74 (Patreon)

Next chapter might not be until Monday. I'm thinking of trying (again) to get myself onto a proper schedule so that you can actually expect certain stories on certain days. Getting a stockpile doesn't work for me since that just encourages me to procrastinate, but if I try to force myself to publish certain stories on their days, that might work. I used to do that anyways. It used to be TQH -> EDE -> TTE -> LDQ from Mon-Thurs, or something like that. Apparently, a lot of readers like to have days to look forward for specific stories, too. If it helps with reader/patron retention, it might be a good idea for me to try my best to stick to that sort of schedule.

Even if I don't start writing another chapter until Monday, though, that doesn't mean I won't be busy. I'm going to be posting a chapter dump of EDO to free readers tomorrow - well, at this point, later today, and I'm also considering posting my stories to Webnovel and Wattpad to try and build as much of an audience (and soon-to-be mailing list) as I can before I officially start to self-publish on Amazon.

I also figure that, as shady as Webnovel can be... Amazon is honestly worse in pretty much every single way. It doesn't really make sense for me to boycott Webnovel when I plan on publishing to Amazon which is the greater of two evils. But, that's for me to worry about. Where and when I post outside of Patreon won't affect anything here. You'll still have access to everything even after I start posting to Amazon.

But yeah. I've got a lot of work to do, and that's not even including editing TTE and TQH for release.

I only took one proper day off last week so that I could work on a thing, so the total result of writing since the last update is 46 hours and 25,701 words!

The True Endgame

This latest chapter was a serious pain to write and took me three days on-and-off of restarting, losing muse, blah blah. In the end, though, I'm very happy with how the chapter turned out and I think that Nell got some major best girl points.

Ero Dungeon Online

This will finally be getting posted to other websites later today. I'll post it to my website, Scribble Hub, Hentai Foundry, and Webnovel (since I hear they let tons of people get away with smut). Then I'll post some links to them to where EDE is already posted, and then remove EDE from my RR, SH, and HF so that only EDO is available there. EDE will still be in the archives on my website and here on Patreon if you dig far back enough, though.

The Queen's Hound

Plot time.

I think it's plot time, anyways. Perk/con of being a pantser is that I never really know what's going to happen when. I have a general outline, but I have no idea how Woofen is going to go through that outline until it happens. But yeah, hopefully, this volume is already showing a change of pace (since it's been about 30-40 pages already) from the usual tower stuff to focus more on the characters, plot, and city.

Lazy Dragon Queen

LDQ has had some alright success so far over on RR and SH. It's growing slower than TTE did but faster than SG, so that's something. Also, the people who read it seem to enjoy it and don't really have anything to complain about. LDQ having wide-appeal has never been one of my intentions, though. Getting a smaller-but-dedicated fanbase for it is what I am hopeful for. In the end, it's one of my favorite stories, and there's tons and tons more to come of it even if it's not as successful as my others!

CORE

Ah, this last chapter was a ton of fun for me to write. I think it might push some people, even people who are big fans of the style, to their limits to see if they can truly handle his teasing and rambling or not. A chapter like that would piss people off pretty heavily if it was in any other story, but it fits in perfectly with CORE!

In Closing

I finally finish all the chapters and am able to go to sleep... and then get the inspiration to write more.

I'm going to sleep. Then I'm going to wake up and make kimchi because I've been putting that off for days now to try and focus on my writing first, so I'll have to hope that all the ingredients are still good. I'm going to be very sad if any of the vegetables I bought have gone bad since I'm bad and took so long to get around to making it.
