Weekly Update #51 (Patreon)

I'm taking the rest of today (Tuesday) off. I haven't given myself a full day off in over 5 weeks now and I desperately need one >_>.

UPDATE: So, right after finishing TQH earlier, I got some massive heartburn. Then I realized I was having a gallstone attack instead of heartburn. The pain was bad enough that I couldn't finish writing this and (legally) drugged myself into falling asleep to sleep the pain away. It worked. Of course, then I woke up to an absolutely excruciating charley horse in my right calf and now I can barely stand up. Thankfully, I do have a cane for these situations.

Great damn way to start my first day off in 5 weeks, right?

53 hours last week. Would be 58 but I decided to put LDQ on Monday since that was when I started it. And 12 hours so far this week. :sweat:

The True Endgame

I'm very happy with the latest combat scene. Why? Because I realized that nobody actually reads TTE for the combat, so it's perfectly fine to split a long combat chapter up with bantering and downtime with dialogue. I'll probably use this little tactic here for almost all of TTE's future combat. And most likely LDQ's as well whenever it gets a "big" battle."

But yeah. Personally, I'm happy with how it's going. Not sure if everybody else will be happy with it which is kind of concerning since I a making most of my money right now from this story, but I'm happy with it which is all that really matters to me when writing. I would rather start a new project to hopefully gain money than change an existing one to pander.

It kinda sucks because the parts of the story I'm most excited about telling are all pretty far away. I really want to get to the parts where he can go full narcissistic badass cheerful waifu lover who drinks, parties, laughs, and makes all of his waifus swoon while putting up with their antics. Alas, it is quite far away

In Closing

I'm 14 episodes behind on anime so I'm going to go watch those now. Then I'm going to read. Then I'm going to play Deep Rock Galactic probably.

Hopefully, having a gallstone attack and charley horse on the same day as my first day off in over 5 weeks means that I've got some good karma heading my way. Either that, or it was the bad karma for anything I've done recently.
