I was originally going to wait until the contest was over before dumping all the chapters here to surprise those of you who haven't caught on yet (I know a few of you from Discord already know), but I couldn't wait anymore. I'm really bad at surprises : (

Anyways, I've been working on this for the past week and posting it daily over on Royal Road. It's a story I started on a whim for a contest that I was invited to, and I wanted to try and make it fair to the other people in the contest who don't have established audiences already by not advertising the story anywhere else. So, seriously, please do not go and review/follow the story over on RR or anything (yet). I promise I'm not posting this here to get more followers and ratings over there. I genuinely do want to try to keep the competition fair. This is also why I haven't made an official post about it on my Discord or on the chapter notes of my other stories yet.

So, here you go! The first 13 chapters all together.

Depending on the success of the story over on RR and whether I believe it'll bring in new patrons or not (and help keep the rest of you around), the story may or may not become one of my "main" stories once the competition is over. For now, though, I just plan on doing daily, 1k word chapters for it for the duration of the contest. If the story does end up becoming one of my "main" stories, then I will stall releasing on RR to build up the 10 ahead chapters for Patreon after the contest.

I'm also using this story as a test to experiment with a different writing style. It's similar to Lazy Dragon Queen's writing style but way more fourth wall breaking and self-aware. Honestly, I really love writing in this style. It's probably the most fun style I've ever written in, and I kind of feel like it's a unique-ish voice that I can really make my style. None of the other stories I've written have really been done in a unique style at all. Between Lazy Dragon Queen (which was like the prequel to this style) and now this story, I think I've finally found my style. It's not perfect yet and does need some fine-tuning, but I love it already.

Worry not, if you're not a fan of this style, I'm not going to be adapting it to my other stories. I'll just probably be using it for future stories.

Anyways, I'm going to take a nap and then get to work on TTE. TTE, SG, and LDQ are still going to come out for the week, so no worries about that. I'm just trying to grow this volcano story while I can since it's going directly to RR without any stockpile and having daily - multi-daily releases for the first month is crazy important if I want to actually get a bunch of followers.
