Switching back from game dev to comic mode from now until probably April, so here's the start of the next page.

The first panel is a shot of the full crowd scene, isometric and from above, and I kinda don't want to deal with the fine inking of all those little shapes so I'm gonna use my silhouette painting method to knock that out in a way that reads well and I'll basically "deal with that later".  As for what I -did- ink, I'm trying out a new inking brush on this page- I had an oblong smooth brush I'd been using but I'm picking a rougher hard-edge brush to maybe give my lines a bit more natural quality instead of the clean sterile lines of a digital pen.  I like the look so far so I'll probably keep using it in the future, if for nothing else than to see what I can get out of it.

No artist actually likes drawing thick crowds and I'm no exception, so what I did for this page was I carefully pivoted my camera around to get shots of quarters or halves of the group so I have fewer bodies to detail.  The first-panel crowd shot establishes the size of the mass, that way closer, cleaner angles can imply what was already shown rather than showing it again and again for multiple panels.

Anyways, back to work.
