Comic Report #9: The Beginning of The Beginning (Patreon)

Hello! We've been tying up some loose ends with the game, getting it ready to play at the end of this month, and I've started work on the next comic page.  Here's an ink preview; I'm looking to have it done and posted by next weekend, but you can peek at it now!

Over the past I-can't-believe-it's-been-years I've been working to set things up in place for a fairly complex and ambitious story arc, and I'm just about ready to topple the first domino! I won't say how it'll all fall down yet, but I'm excited to finally, finally get it started!

One thing I'd thought about for this page was if I wanted to do a quick establishing page before it, with just some shots of city block to set the location, the time and the atmosphere.  Back when I first started making the comic I'd think about wedging pages in front of other pages, but I haven't actually done that in years.  An establishing page on my current update cycle would be really unfulfilling, though, so if I decide it would benefit the scene to warm up to it I'll update it as a double-page update, the first time I'd ever have done something like that in the comic's history.
