Comic Report 29.1 - A Successful Operation (Patreon)

Here's this week's progress update!  I took the rest of Thursday to knock it out but I'm happy to have the entire thing painted and ready to go in a week. I've been feeling bad about how long making a comic has taken me so I feel good about getting this page done in the time I managed.

I'm really happy with how the last panel lighting came out. I wanted to do a dynamic lighting panel for a while and having two spotlights wired up is a fun lightsource to play with, I don't think I had a panel like that in a while.  I also decided to omit the glow outline from the Sheriff's body- I wasn't sure how to approach giving him a less saturated pallor in a black & white comic and wanted to give him a certain coldness, and came up with the thought that I use the white outlines to distinguish moving, living people, so the omission of that feature could serve my aims just as well.

I'm gonna get the text typed up and post the comic tonight, but I wanted to get the textless preview posted for you guys ASAP.  Thanks for continuing to stick with us, finishing this tonight means I should have a full report for you next week.
