Weekly sketches changes - back to the ROOTS (Patreon)

Hi guys! :)

When I opened my Patreon campaign a few years ago, I came up with a system that I wanted to use for the Weekly Sketches voting process, but in the end I never used it. The amount of requests was manageable, and I wanted to make everyone happy, and draw each and every one of them!

However, for the past few month I've been feeling overwhelmed with the amount of requests, but what's even worse - I feel that despite my skills growing over the years, the 12-16 sketches you get now are only fine, and kind of worse than what you've received a couple of years back. You know, back at times when I was doing 4-6 sketches per month and had the time to come up with the ideas and do a proper research on each character/pairing :)

So, I don't think it's the Cherry way. The Cherry way is to give 120% to bring each work to life, so everyone can feel the joy of each and every work! The kind of joy you feel when you see the summer sun shining at a bunch of red cherries. The kind of joy you feel when you see the smile of your loved ones. As silly as it might sound from an artist that is associated with drawing erotic pictures of characters from stories of others ;)

So I'd like to try using the system I came up with, and see where it takes us! Please note that now participating in the voting and requesting actually helps and not add me more work (I've heard from TOO MANY people, that they often refrain from requests because they don't want to add me more work or make me make me start choosing which requests to refuse), so it would  be great if everyone participated!

So the song goes like this:

PHASE 1 

Voting in the characters:

- All Patrons Golden Cherry Plus and above are eligible

- The voting (requesting) starts each 3rd day of the month at 9PM CET

- 8 quickest votes (requests) wins

- Bro Cherry Patrons requests will be added to those 8 votes

- Lasts 48h

- Patrons who voted in in the former month, will have a 24h timeout in the next, so on the next month they can vote on 4th day of the month at 9PM CET, if  there is still spot

- Declined Patrons can vote if they contact me first about their status

So in general, in this phase you write your requests for solo or pairing characters like you've always did and eight first requests (+ Bro Cherry requests) will be picked to phase 2.

PHASE 2

Poll between the chosen characters / pairings

- 8 characters/pairings+ Bro Cherry requests in the poll

- 4 with the most votes win

- starts 48h after the Phase 1 starts

PHASE 3 (optional)

Voting poll to resolve the tie-break(s)

- picking a winner between the draws

- All Patrons can vote

I know this system might penalize the OC characters, therefore I'm thinking about making OC only months from time to time, but we'll see how it all goes in practice! :)

I  think this can help me create a better art for you <3 With more soul, not like straight from a generic artist machine I slowly started to feel like... So let's try this new thing!
